What is VIDES?
The word VIDES is an acronym, whose meaning is Verdadeira Igreja Digital Espiritual Santificada [True Sanctified Spiritual Digital Church]. It consists of 51 articles written by Pr Valter Köhler (1944-2020) with the core purpose of sharing the Word of God in order to save and sanctify those who approach the Lord, thus composing his beloved Bride, the church of Christ. Revelation 21:22-27
Context
The year 2020 will be marked in the human history: new coronavirus pandemic, quarantine, lockdown, social distancing, measures of health security, overcrowded hospitals, exhausted health workers, large-scale deaths, families bereaved, unemployment, psychosomatic illnesses, home office, remote learning, political disputes, repatriation, non-essential businesses, schools, churches, all closed
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Sanctify yourselves now
God is preparing His Church, the bride of Christ is adorning itself for the glorious day when Jesus will return and take her to Himself, men and women of every race, tongue, and nation whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life Revelation 21:27
However, the church has a purpose, open or closed doors, face-to-face, or online: to glorify God with a life of holiness and obedience to the Lord's commandments. I Peter 1:13-17
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
